POLLEN UK nodes are bringing together leading thinkers for a regional conference on September 19th (this Friday!) at the University of Sussex, Falmer. This one-day event will deliver thought-provoking discussions across three critical themes: labour, technology, and geopolitics.
The conference features a lineup of speakers tackling urgent questions in political ecology. Gabriel Popham (Sussex) and Matan Kaminer (Queen Mary) will explore labour dimensions, while Asad Abbasi (Sussex) and Isadora Cruxên (Queen Mary) delve into technology’s role in political ecology. Geopolitics will be discussed by Nico Edwards (Sussex) and Jodi-Ann Jue Xuan Wang (Oxford).
Organized collaboratively by POLLEN-London and POLLEN-Sussex nodes, with support from Future Natures, The Centre on Labour, Sustainability and Global Production (CLaSP), Politics of Nature Reading Group, and Critically Green, this interdisciplinary gathering is an opportunity to engage with the latest developments in political ecology thought and practice.
For inquiries about this conference, please contact the organizers directly: Andrea Brock, Amber Huff, Ben Neimark, Paul Gilbert, and Will Lock.
